A Lero Industry Event; Software for the Future, will be held on Tuesday 26th June in the Tierney Building, Limerick University from 10.30am to 5.00pm.
Professor Brian Fitzgerald’s presentation in the morning will give an overview of Lero’s future high level research agenda while the afternoon workshops are designed to drill down a bit more into the research challenges and opportunities in various sectors and seek additional input and opinion from the panel and the audience.
Danese Cooper from (Head of Open-Source at Paypal) is also presenting in the morning on “Plate Tectonics in the Software Industry” – it will be about the big shifts in the S/W industry and how to prepare for what’s coming next.
In the afternoon there will be a series of workshops on 4 verticals (Autonomous Systems, Fintech, IoT: Smart Cities/Agtech and Health & Wellbeing) again with presentations from researchers followed by panel discussions with some of our industry partners.
This is a good opportunity to get to know a little bit more about the overall Lero research agenda, meet first hand some of our researchers and avail of the opportunity to contribute to Lero’s future research agenda.
